After trying a couple of the OXO Popup containers a few months ago, I decided I wanted a large set for Christmas. These are undeniably the tightest sealing, but easiest opening and closing containers I have ever found. In fact, when my 80 something year old mother was visiting, she also fell in love with the ease and convenience of the OXO containers. Now I know what to get her for her birthday. I highly recommend this set for anyone searching for great storage for flour, sugar, and many other staples we all try to keep high and dry. Mine are not on the counter, but I find them attractive enough to keep them there if one has that desire.

Has been an excellent purchase. Keeps our food fresh and bug-free. A little pricey and a bit bulky are the only down-sides.

These are some good looking space savers. The fact that they come in all different sizes is a plus. I recommend these to everyone (especially those who live in small Manhattan apartments).

These containers are great and of superb quality. Instead of fiddling with zip lock bags, it’s so much more practical to store food in containers and keep it airtight. I have used them for flour, cereal, pasta, rice, spices, dog treats, etc. The lids are very easy to put on and seal with one push of a button. Since they are stackable, they do not use much space, and after putting food in the containers my cupboards are half empty.
The set is pricey but is a great deal compared to buying the containers separately. I can highly recommend it and I have just order another one.
The only downside is that Oxo recommends hand washing.
PS. An update. Don’t let your husband to get anywhere near them! Mine has dropped one to the floor and it broke. The problem is my husband does the cooking. Now, what do I do… I will buy some more, I guess.
