5 Stars Baby it’s cold outside.
I certainly can see the temperature now. Great big instrument. I did notice however, that the product was constructed of light weight material and I hope it will hold up in Wyoming winds. I believe it was made in America. Not the highest quality in the world, but functional and adequate.

Accuracy cited 2 degrees. Actual accuracy is + 6 degrees. There is no back panel! Spiders et al.?

Packaging was adequate, but minimal… with the thermometer in its original box, not quite surrounded by some rolled up brown paper and placed into a slightly larger box. There was no damage to the outter box, or its contents.
Hanging it was not too difficult, however the bottom bracket is a little unusual.
I agree with the individual who noted the number arrangement. It goes from 20 to 40, with just a hash mark for 30. A little difficult to read if (for example) the temperature is 36 or 37.
It is very large…it is very thin… and it is very light weight.
Seems a little flimsy… I hope I don’t have some significant winds near where it is placed or it might just “take off”…and if it does…it will never stop. I should probably put my name and address on the back, so that if someone finds it in the next state, they can return it to me.
If you are looking for a very large outdoor thermometer, and you don’t particularly care to know the “precise” temperature.. this one seems to fit the bill.

I am extremely pleased with the 18″ Outdoor Thermometer. My husband hung it on a large tree in the backyard and I can see what the temperature is from my kitchen window. The thermometer is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in one. Everything I have purchased through Amazon has been most satisfactory.

5 Stars I love this thermometer!
I can easily read it about 30 yards away from my window. And it’s very accurate - summer or winter, it tracks within a degree or two of weather.com’s official temperature measured at the local airport a few miles away. It took a little creativity to get it mounted on a 4″x4″ post as the hardware that comes with it is limited at best. Plus, it’s absolutely imperative that it be mounted in the shade as just about any direct sunlight whatsoever will make it read 5-10 degrees high.
